Street fighter 3 third strike fightcade1/18/2024 It's portable they emulate fine, great for work travel.īut yea, it's taken me almost 20 years to appreciate SF3. I also like emulating them on the vita and Ambernic 351m. Also the upscale is supper sharp on Dreamcast to me the others still feel a bit fuzzy or off in some way. The PS3 and PS4 versions are pretty awesome but I tend to go back to the Dreamcast probably for that late 90's feel. I got a retrotink 5x a while ago and I haven't played the PS2 version with my new setup. But that might be based on my upscaling setup. I do prefer the Dreamcast ports, I picked up a Dreamcast in 2019 and was hooked. The PS2 anniversary edition I just don't remember why I didn't pick that up at the time. I skipped the dreamcast as I was poor and just leaving college so I missed those great ports. Lots of nights with friends, cheep beer and rounds of EX. Then you can watch some specific 3S videos that explain the game. Id highly highly suggest 'Core-A Gaming' videos. Theres ton of YouTube videos explaining fighting game theory. And, I might take some crap about it now but in college we still enjoyed the SF EX 3D games. I understand that the third strike is far from the ideal first game to learn but with my low-end pc and the availability of fightcade is kind of the best option for me. The Saturn ports of the VS games and Vampire games were just so great. I was saving my arcade coins for home ports. It is hard dude, not specifically third strike but super street fighter 2 turbo and even alpha 3 are almost impossible. Marvel VS Capcom was so much more of a visual experience.Īt the time: Playstation and Saturn ports were so good and being college poor, why the arcades died. Don’t know what international content is, but I will say, if you want to get into street fighter, I don’t know if this game is the best option. I remember playing 3rd strike for the first time at the arcade and even with the larger roster. And since it was never released to home consoles till way late I just never played it much. The roster was so small, the game play seemed so slow/dull compared to the VS series. It was a huge disappointment on original release. I was in college when it was first released.
